Multiple Age Divisions
Competition for Everyone!
Solar Flare DanceSport Challenge will be following USA Dance's Age Cateogories for it's competition. If you don't see an event in your age category, let us know!
All proficiency levels are welcome, from Newcomer to Championship level dancers.
Newcomer is exclusively for dancers who have never competed before, or have been competing for less than 1 year.
Pre-Novice is available to Bronze and Silver level dancers to try out Open level routines, or to keep dancing into the evening session!
Rules for Registration
See you on the Floor!
Any one individual can enter in up to a total of three single-dance and multi-dance levels (e.g. two single-dance levels and one multi-dance level, or two multi-dance levels and one single-dance level) in any given style(Rhythm/Latin/Smooth/Standard). We encourage all dancers to enter in as many events as they are eligible for.
Examples:
Acceptable Registrations: ● Bronze/Silver Smooth● Bronze/Silver/Novice Standard● Bronze/Silver Latin AND Silver/Gold Rhythm
Unacceptable Registrations:● Newcomer/Silver Smooth● Bronze/Silver/Gold Latin● Bronze/Silver/Novice/Pre-Champ of any style
The Open social dances, Intercollegiate, and Rookie/Veteran events do NOT contribute to one of the three levels you're allowed to compete in.
If you plan on using Solar Flare DanceSport Challenge to qualify for USA Dance Nationals, you are only permitted to dance 2 Consecutive Styles (and the open social dances).

Fill out your profile with the required fields to create your account. You can update your profile at any time once you have an account.
You'll receive an email to complete the registration.

From the "My Account" drop down on the main page, you will be able to find "Partners". Here you can define your partnerships for use in Registration!

Once your partnership is defined, you can navigate back to the registration page and easily filter for the events you want to enter.
Heatsheet and Payment
Check your entries
Your heatsheet will appear on the "Registration" page of the competition. You can also pay your entry fees from this page as well. Payment can be made via Paypal, or you can send money via Zelle to Treasurer4033@outlook.com

Find your way to the floor
The competition will be held at the Sun Devil Fitness Center in Tempe. There is paid parking at the Apache Parking Structure on 250 E Apache Blvd. The Memorial Union right across from the competition site has the largest food court on ASU's campus. More local eateries are available on Rural Road, right across from the Rural Parking structure.

A group booking rate has been made available at Sonesta Select Downtown Tempe located just off Mill Avenue. Clicking on the "Group Booking Rate" will take you to their site to book your rooms.
Local Attractions
Enjoy your time off the floor
There is much to do in Tempe. Some popular local attractions include the Phoenix Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. Both located roughly 10 minutes away from the competition site. There are also many popular hiking trails and November is the best time of year to check them out! Check out Papago Park, A Mountain, or Rio Salado Park.
